I know it’s Monday…Rainy…cold…kind of a day that you want to just bundle up in front of a fire and read a good book! But what if that book is telling you that we need to be looking out…farther than the fireplace, farther than the front yard…What if we need to be sharing some things with other people? Who are people in need around you? While it is important, don’t just jump to think that I’m talking about homeless people…I’m asking about others too. Is there a family member or friend that you can encourage today? Perhaps say a short prayer for them and then call, text, or email them and tell them that you’re praying for them. Or post something encouraging on FB…or send a card or letter. How about a quick invite to friend you don’t talk to all the time for a holiday nog or cup of coffee? Can we invite them to come over just to “catch up” on what has been going on in their lives? Sometimes, a “ministry of presence” is a huge blessing! For them…and for you! Reach out and bless someone today!
